Nina E. Rumbold is a partner in Rumbold & Seidelman. She is a graduate of Connecticut College and The New York University School of Law. She was admitted to the New York Bar in 1979 and is also a member of the New Jersey Bar.
Nina is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. She has lectured on Adoption Law and Reproductive Law as a member of the faculty for the Practicing Law Institute, Adoption Law Institute 2006, on behalf of the New York City Bar Center for Continuing Legal Education and at the Center for Adoption Policy Conference in 2006. Nina is also a regular speaker at the Adoptive Parents Committee annual conference, and has lectured on behalf of the New York State Bar Association on the legal aspects of the adoption process
Nina began her legal career as a trial attorney for the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society. During her five years there, she tried numerous cases to verdict. After leaving the Trial Division, Nina continued to work for the Legal Aid Society in the Criminal Appeals Bureau. From 1989 to 1995 she worked at the Law Office of Gertrude M. Schwartz, Esq., in Mount Kisco, New York where she was first introduced to the adoption field. In addition to her law practice, Nina serves as a mediator in the areas of Child Permanency Mediation, Parent/Child Mediation and Community Mediation. In fact, Nina frequently co-mediates with her law partner Denise Seidelman.
